About the author

I’m Ron Meyer and I have proudly served as President of Bagolitas by Janice since January 2007.  And, if you’ve ever worked in a company that is 99% female, you’ll know that the term “served” is correct in every sense of the word   One would think that with a lofty title like “President” that I would have significant influence over the workplace culture and activities at Bagolitas.  What you’ll come to realize as you read through the blog is how little “control” I have (or wish to have). 

Bagolitas is a company with an amazing culture that existed long before I got here, influenced most greatly by our founder, Janice Baldes.  The best thing that I can do to help our culture is to let it grow and thrive and stay out of the way.  Things don’t necessarily “run themselves”, but with a group of employees, seamstresses and sales consultants out in the field who are this passionate about our products, most aspects of the business move in a generally positive direction.

I won’t go into any details about myself at this point, other than letting you know that I am happily married to my incredible wife, Mary Rae, now, for nearly 14 years, and have two wonderful children, Evan, 10, and Allison, 8.  I’m sure you’ll learn more about them, and me, along the way.  Thank you for being part of this journey.
